NorthEast Georgia

American Lunch

American Lunch is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that delivers hot meals to people in need.  Their food truck serves in downtown Athens on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and at First Baptist Church with Our Daily Bread on Fridays. Front Porch Pantry

No. 3 Railroad Street in Arnoldsville is no longer open for music and other events because of the pandemic but now its front porch is open 24/7 serving as a food pantry.

The AAEFB's purpose is to meet the food needs for one week for families or individuals who live in Athens-Clarke County who are faced with emergencies upon referral by an approved agency. A family is entitled to another week's supply within six months, again with an approved referral.
